Arcadia Studios is based on Digidesign's Digi002 system, running Pro Tools LE (currently, 7.1).  This is a 48-track system that can, through a common recording process called "bouncing," actually handle an unlimited number of recorded tracks.

In addition, we use a wide variety of plug-ins, including products from Digidesign, Waves, McDSP, and Universal Audio.  We also use Propellerheads' Reason 3.0 for rhythm and song creation.

Because we primarily rely on plug-ins for sound enhancement, you won't see impressive 5-foot-tall racks of blinking electronic equipment. We do, however, have two professional-grade preamps/compressors: the Langevin Dual Vocal Combo and the Aphex 207D.

Our range of microphones includes: Neumann U87, Rode NTK, Audio Technica 4047, Shure KSM44 (2), Shure SM57 (2), Behringer B-5 (2), Sennheiser 442 (2), AKG D112, MXL 992 (2).

Keyboards: 76-key Korg Triton Workstation, 48-key Yamaha S03, 25-key M-Audio Axiom. Honest-to-goodness acoustic pianos can be recorded off-site.

Guitars and Basses: A small selection of instruments is available for on-site recording.

Drums: A Pearl Custom Classic kit, featuring Zildjian CustomA cymbals, is available for on-site recording.

Amplifiers: A small selection of amplifiers is available for on-site use.  In addition, we have a PodXT and BassPod available for recording.
